Kuala Terengganu which is a royal capital that it has witnessed a shift from a tradisional settlement into a bustling multi-cultural city with a significant mix of modern, Malay architectural and cultural influences. At the waterfront side of Kuala Terengganu, Pasar Payang is the significant building that involed in the daily life of the local people. Pasar Payang had passed through 45 years since the early 1950's until now. The background of it contains all of the history and culture of Kuala Terengganu and also the memories of local people. 65% of the adults population are vivid in reviving the identity and glory of Pasar Payang during their younger times. New Pasar Payang has lost its glory. The 'Shark Fin' facade of old pasar becomes a medium to recall or revive the glory and identity of Pasar Payang. Less activities due to the unshaded area on site. Providing shaded area for more social activities for local people. The outflow of local poeple and the lost of culture. Re-embrace the culture and inherit to new generation introducing culture of senses to the community.
